Do you find him ignorant regarding China and other global players? You simply cannot have advanced artificial intelligence without advanced silicon—semiconductors are the literal physical foundation upon which every modern algorithm, large language model, and neural network runs. China has invested heavily in its domestic chip design, lithography research, and mature-node manufacturing to bypass geopolitical bottlenecks. I think ignoring these aggressive efforts is very short-sighted; it risks letting China take the industry by storm, exactly as they did with solar technology and electric vehicles. It might not happen in the next year or two, but after a few years of potential U.S. slowdown or complacency, the shift could become absolute.
