Is generative drift a fundamental flaw in AI?

Check this out. Tell AI to recreate an image exactly 50 times, feeding each new version back into the system. By the end, you WILL have something completely different. Now imagine AI agents making decisions based on outputs from other AI agents. One small error gets treated as fact, and now the whole process is off. I get that we have validation methods, but here's my question: Can probabilistic AI systems ever be truly reliable without independent verification? Or is this an architectural flaw we just gotta learn to live with?
